Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Methodology
Department of Clinical Research
Department of Diagnostic, Interventional, and Pediatric Radiology
AMSM has been founded in 1991 and supports MR research at the Medical Faculty of the University Bern, Switzerland.
Main research projects include Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), methodology of MRI and MRS, technical developments (e.g. ergometer, dual channel for decoupling/editing/NOE, etc.) and patient monitoring / measurements of physiological parameters (ECG, EOG, EEG, Respiration etc.) in the magnetic field.
AMSM became a group of the newly founded Department of Clinical Research of the Medical Faculty in 1997 and is part of the Department of Diagnostic, Interventional, and Pediatric Radiology of the University Hospital “Inselspital” since 2010.
AMSM can help during project preparation, is responsible for data acquisition of funded MR research projects on the MR-system of the University Hospital “Inselspital”, and collaborates during data analysis and publication.
Two general publications on medical magnetic resonance are available online:
